Your First Visit

Your First Visit

You don’t need a referral to see an orthodontist

anyone can make an appointment directly with us. However, your general dentist is also welcome to provide a referral if preferred.
To help us provide the best possible care and minimise any delays on the day, we encourage all new patients to complete our New Patient Questionnaire and bring it with them to their first visit.
You can download it here:

What to Expect at Your First Appointment

During your consultation, your orthodontist will:

Listen carefully to your concerns

Perform a thorough clinical examination

Discuss initial impressions and possible treatment pathways

Take diagnostic records, such as photos or X-rays, if required

If you’ve already booked an appointment, please complete the New Patient Questionnaire prior to your visit.

Location-Specific Information

Our practitioners are leaders in non-extraction orthodontic treatments. Each dentist is highly skilled in the installation of braces from Invisalign to invisible braces, robotic braces, mini-implants, and surgical orthodontics.

Sydney CBD & Mosman

Before your appointment, we’ll send you a questionnaire. One week prior to your appointment, our team will call to confirm your visit. X-ray facilities are available on-site if needed.

Bowral, Orange & Goulburn

In these locations, X-rays must be arranged prior to your appointment at a local radiology provider. We will send you an X-ray referral form along with your questionnaire and further information about our practice and available treatments.

What Are Diagnostic Records?

Diagnostic records help us thoroughly assess your orthodontic needs and develop a tailored treatment plan. These may include

Photographs

To assess facial proportions, smile aesthetics, and baseline appearance

X-rays

To examine teeth and jaw relationships, bone structure, and screen for underlying issues

Dental scans

To evaluate how your teeth align and record the original condition

These records are essential for creating an optimal, individualised treatment plan — one that aims to improve dental and facial aesthetics, oral function, and long-term dental health.
